Since 2012, Kalāvilāsa has been designing and producing flat-weave rugs made using tapestry weaving technique, also called as punja weaving in India. These are completely handcrafted using pure Indian cotton or New Zealand sheep wool. The cushion covers, pillows and table runners are made by using the rug as the underlying fabric.

Design & Customize
Our design team works with you to bring your ideas to life. Share a bespoke design or customize something from the Kalāvilāsa collection. We provide design and colour swatches to guide your choices, while keeping every client design confidential, secure, and exclusively yours.

Visualize & Approve
Once the patterns and colours are finalized, we create a digital rendition of your product for review and approval. This allows you to visualize the design and make any necessary refinements. This ensures every detail is aligned with your vision before the weaving process begins.

Weave & Deliver
Following your approval, our artisans begin weaving your custom pieces. Most projects take 6–8 weeks, and we share bi-weekly progress updates so you stay informed throughout production. For clients abroad, international shipping services are provided too.
Kalāvilāsa prides itself for completing the projects on time, and to the satisfaction of its clients. Its founder Vivek has lived and worked overseas and has a long experience of working with international clients, in IT as well as textiles.
